Above Gavin presents the Baptist mission with a cheque at the meeting of the 31st Oct 2000. (click on the addendum link above for full details of the meeting). Unfortunately by handing over money directly to Them, we Broke RTBrazil's golden Rule, which is to ONLY provide goods and services. Just so this would serve as a lesson to us, the BMS contacted Mark last week to tell him that the money while on it's way to be spent on the goods they wanted, was stolen, removed by force from the person who was carrying it while he was on a bus!
Knowing how dangerous SP is and considering the amount of money involved WHY was he on a Bus? why was he with money and not a cheque? Could they not have invested in a 10.00 taxi ride? This should serve as a reminder that we Should NEVER give Money.

Edward. took this photo of a meeting in progress. Note how focused everybody is. ED who took time out of his busy schedule to take the photos also spent 15 minutes telling us about his love of woodwork, in relation to which material would be best for the BSM to use on it's project.

Two PC´s were taken to Recanto São Francisco orphanage by Harry. Staff and children were very happy. The 2nd Pc was a private donation from Bart & Patricia. I have put some pictures of the place in the addendum section. Have a look at them (imagine they started 8 years ago; build the whole structure for 25 children, including small stables; grocery gardens; etc. etc. etc.. It really was an impressive view on some people´s chosen purpose in life). Good work

SUNDAY 17TH at the green's house
starts at midday. One present per adult attending the Churrasco for a child of 6 to 7 years old. This should be new and cost in the range R$10 to R$ 15. Presents should not be wrapped. instructions on how to get there in members section.
